Jonathan Boudin, RCC, CEIP-MH
Senior Counsellor
He/Him/His
Registered Clinical Counsellor | Equine Therapist
Jonathan is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who offers counselling services both in-office and outdoors, including equine-included therapy on the North Shore. He believes that every client is unique—some thrive in a traditional office environment, while others find healing and connection through nature or in partnership with horses. Jonathan is committed to creating an experience that best supports each individual’s needs.
With over a decade of experience, Jonathan works with children, tweens, teens, and young adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence, youth-related issues, and life transitions. He integrates a range of therapeutic approaches, including Synergetic Play Therapy, EMDR, CBT, DBT, Client-Centered, and Narrative therapies.
Jonathan’s path into the counselling field began with horses. Growing up around them, he experienced firsthand the powerful role they can play in fostering resilience and emotional well-being. His passion for equine-assisted work led him to co-found a non-profit offering equine support to individuals touched by cancer, and ultimately to pursue his Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. Since graduating in 2015, he has provided counselling in office, nature-based, and equine settings in both Canada and the United States.
Jonathan is passionate about bringing equine-included mental health services to the North Shore, where opportunities to access this type of support are rare in an urban/suburban setting. In addition to his clinical work, he has presented internationally, including at the Unity Conference in Ireland in 2024 on Equine-Included Mental Health.
