She/Her/Hers
Roya Esbiri is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and holds a Master of Arts in Personality Psychology. With over 20 years of professional experience in the counselling field, she began her career in Iran as a high school and university counsellor, creating safe spaces for youth and adolescents to navigate life’s pressures, build self-awareness, and develop emotional resilience. Her early work focused on helping young people manage stress, understand personal triggers, and foster self-discovery and identity development.
Since moving to Canada, Roya has continued her work in family service agency settings, supporting individuals, couples, and families—particularly within immigrant communities—to address their unique challenges and work toward emotional well-being. She offers a warm, compassionate, and person-centred approach, drawing on a variety of therapeutic modalities within a trauma-informed framework.
Her areas of focus include relationship challenges, conflict resolution, parenting, depression, anxiety, ADHD, domestic violence, emotional disturbances, grief, self-esteem, shame, and trauma. Roya is committed to building trust, honouring vulnerability, and celebrating authenticity, creating a collaborative counselling process where clients feel safe to explore, grow, and navigate life’s changes with confidence.
