Ali Adibi, RCC

Associate Counsellor

Ali Adibi (he/him) holds a Master’s degree in Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. He provides counselling in English and Farsi, working with teenagers, adults, and families experiencing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, social difficulties, stress, and family concerns.

Ali believes that counselling begins with creating a space where people feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard. His approach is collaborative and person-centred, recognizing that every person brings their own experiences, strengths, values, and cultural background into the counselling room. For clients who feel more comfortable expressing themselves in their first language, Ali is pleased to offer Farsi counselling, allowing clients to communicate in the language that feels most natural to them.

Ali’s experience working with Indigenous children, families, and communities has deeply shaped his commitment to cultural safety, relational connection, and trauma-informed practice. He approaches counselling with curiosity, humility, and respect for each client’s individual identity, culture, and lived experience.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches, Ali adapts his work to meet the needs of each person rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. He also has experience working closely with parents, offering practical strategies to strengthen communication, parenting skills, and family relationships.

Above all, Ali is committed to building trusting therapeutic relationships where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Whether providing counselling in English or Farsi, his goal is to help clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and move toward greater confidence, connection, and well-being.
