Youth & Family Counselling in North Vancouver
Looking for compassionate, experienced youth counselling in North Vancouver? Carrie Lusztig is a Registered Social Worker with over 30 years of experience supporting teens, caregivers, and families through mental health challenges, emotional difficulties, high-risk behaviours, and family conflict.
Carrie brings a collaborative, compassionate approach to counselling, grounded in validation, curiosity, and humour. She creates a welcoming, non-judgmental space where teens and families feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. Her goal is to help young people build confidence, strengthen emotional regulation skills, develop healthy coping strategies, and navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience.
Recognizing that supporting a young person’s mental health often involves the entire family, Carrie also provides parenting support and family counselling. She works alongside caregivers to help them better understand their teen’s emotional and behavioural needs, strengthen communication, and develop practical strategies that foster connection and well-being at home.
Carrie has spent much of her career working with Vancouver Coastal Health and Child and Youth Mental Health. Her extensive experience on the North Shore has allowed her to build strong relationships with local schools, community programs, psychiatry services, and specialized mental health resources. When appropriate, she helps families access additional community supports to ensure they receive the care and guidance they need.
Whether you’re a teen struggling with difficult emotions, a caregiver feeling overwhelmed, or a family hoping to strengthen your relationships, Carrie offers a supportive, experienced, and compassionate approach to creating meaningful change.
