Mona Aleyasin, RCC
Associate Counsellor
She/Her/Hers
Mona Aleyasin is a Farsi-speaking Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who works with children, individuals, parents, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, identity concerns, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. She brings particular sensitivity to working with immigrant and refugee clients and those with roots in Persian culture, while welcoming clients from all backgrounds. As an immigrant and parent herself, Mona draws on her own lived experience navigating cultural transition and parenting to help clients feel understood not just as clients, but as people balancing multiple identities, expectations, and roles.
Mona works with clients of all ages facing a wide range of life challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and parenting stress. She has a particular focus on supporting parents adjusting to new parenting roles or environments, helping them build confidence as they navigate changing family dynamics, routines, and expectations. Mona also works with children and adults with ADHD, supporting them and their families in understanding and working with their unique traits.
Mona’s integrative approach draws on CBT- and DBT-informed strategies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based practices, and narrative and solution-focused therapy, tailored to each client’s age, developmental stage, values, and individual needs. Grounded in trauma-informed care, she creates a warm, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and understood at their own pace, moving through change with less isolation and more confidence in who they are.
Mona is committed to supporting clients as they build emotional awareness, resilience, and self-compassion. She believes healing is fostered through meaningful connection, cultural understanding, and trust, and she works alongside clients to help them move forward with greater clarity, balance, and confidence.
